Support Wish Upon a Wedding!

Wish Upon a Wedding, the world's first nonprofit wedding wish granting organization, is asking for support. This new organization, dubbed “the Wedding Industry’s Charity,” provides weddings for individuals facing life-threatening illness, at destinations across the United States, regardless of sexual orientation.

By donating just 1% of any sale (or 1% of your profits from one event), you can help Wish Upon a Wedding grant these very special wishes. Participants will be recognized for their generosity with an "I support the Wishing Well" badge.

Launched in January, the organization receives new wedding wish requests on a weekly basis. Currently lacking the funds needed to bring long distance families together, these special celebrations may often be missing something (or someone). One of the organization’s goals is to fly up to four family members or loved ones to the weddings of every Wish Recipient, so they can spend a few days with those who matter most. There are many other expenses that Wish Upon a Wedding would like to cover as well, but they need YOUR help.

It’s really easy! To participate click here.

Julie is on the board for Wish Upon a Wedding, so feel free to contact her with any questions if you'd like to lend a hand!

Design Inspiration: Mustaches!

I know what you’re thinking… Mustaches? Really? But lately, mustaches have been popping up in a big (and somewhat odd) way at weddings. True, mustaches add a splash of 70s throwback to any event, but it’s the level of hilarity packed into each old-timely stache that has parties beckoning them to join.

And! There’s no shortness of creativity with the ways couple are sneaking in their dash of ‘stache. From adorning your entire guest list with a hairy upper lip, to inspiring hundreds of hysterical photos by placing a few as props in your photo booth… See what these creative brides have done with an unconventional object!

Photo Shoot with Alisa Benay- Great Romantic Look

A few weeks ago we did a great photo shoot with Alisa Benay to showcase her new gowns (this one is the daphne) and my new decor company Inspired Couture Collections.
Here's some fab photos by Jared Wilson from that shoot....and a little inspiration for a romantic look!

Excited to Announce- Inspired Couture Collections

Inspired Couture Collections
I'm thrilled to announce our latest endeavor, Inspired Couture Collections!

A decor program for brides who want a stylish, cohesive look to their wedding day, that's easy on their budget. The program includes linens, napkins, chair covers, cake table decor, and centerpieces. You can also select from accessories designed to match: menu cards, programs, escort cards, personal flowers, ceremony decor, etc...

There are 5 themes to choose, each with 3 price points.  Select one theme or blend them to create your own. Mix the items from each price point to make sure you get the look you want, at the right price.
We've allowed a lot of flexibility to mix-n-match, modify, and a variety of colors.

Inspired Couture Collections is available nationwide. If you'd like to represent ICC in your area please give us a call!

Real Wedding Preview...

I'm back from Mexico and not exactly tan... mostly burnt and now peeling! Ugh!

If you followed me last week on Twitter you know I had quite the eventful week! Playing paparazzi trying to get a shot of Heidi and Seal was definitely fun, and the wedding was absolutely beautiful. Katie and John were an blast!

I'll be bringing you some spectacular photos from their wedding shortly, but in the meantime, here is a sneak preview with some gorgeous photos taken by the incredibly talented Fer Juaristi. Enjoy and stay tuned for more photos of Katie and John!

An Introduction!

I'm thrilled to announce the latest addition to the Classic Creations team, Laura Graham.

She'll be doing a bit of guest blogging, assisting with weddings, and just overall being fabulous! Welcome Laura!

From Laura:

Hello! I wanted to take this opportunity to virtually introduce myself – my name is Laura Graham… and I love weddings. I think this love stems from my realization that almost no other event receives the time, planning, and personalization a wedding does.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I’m relatively new to everything Denver. Julie has been kind enough to show me the ins and outs of Colorado, and I couldn’t be more appreciative! I’m hoping to share my learning experiences, as well as things that inspire me, with all of you from time to time. And what better way to do it than through this spectacular blog?!

So, hi, it’s nice to meet you, and I'll see you again soon!

Photo of the Week- Fire Centerpieces

I was looking through my Signature Sasha book this weekend (it's a great book full of inspirational photos).

One that I love...(maybe because it was snowing outside! It's May for goodness sakes?)....is this fire centerpiece running down the table.

I was trying to think of other fun ways to give a fiery feel to outdoor fetes when I came across these....

Fire Urns by Agio

Hope you all have a great week...I'll be leaving for Mexico on Thursday. Be sure to follow me on Twitter to see if I run in to the famous couple who is getting married at the resort as well.
